The Linden plant, located on 80 acres about 60 miles northwest of Indianapolis, produces ethanol, distillers grains livestock feed and fuel- and feed-grade corn oil. With original startup in August 2007, the plant was acquired by Valero in January 2010. Corn is purchased from within 50 miles.
Linden plant employees have volunteered more than 4,000 hours supporting local nonprofits from 2017-2021.
Over the last five years, a total of $145,000 from the Valero Texas Open and Benefit for Children has been given to local charities nominated by employees.
More than $263,000 contributed to the local United Way through employee pledges, additional donations and company matches since 2017.

The Linden plant has been recognized under the Efficient Producer Program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for superior process efficiency – through reduced on-site energy consumption, increased fuel output and/or use of biomass or biogas from certain sources to reduce process energy greenhouse gas emissions.
Multiple quarterly Valero STAR Metric awards for achieving no incidents in five key areas of process safety, reliability, environmental, rail safety, and policy and procedure compliance.
Linden Depot is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, billed as the last junction depot in Indiana where major regional Midwestern railroads once crossed. Today it is a museum with train-car replicas and other memorabilia.
